Marina Lazareva

Graphic artist. She was born in Moscow in 1961. She was educated as an artist-jeweller first and then as an artist-printmaker. Marina is a member of Union of Arts of Russia and of the Moscow Union of artists. Lazareva Marina has been engaged by the copper-plate engraving for over 35 years. She works mostly in traditional mezzotint technique which she was taught in the studio of Vladimir Samarin who was one of the best of Russian experts of this technique. M. Lazareva also works in dry point and engraving with burin on cooper.
The range of Marina's creative capability is from still-life, native lyric and sea landscapes to majestic views of architecture.
The Union of Arts of Russia rewarded Marina with gold medal (2013) and the Moscow Union of artists rewarded with gold medal (2019). The Russian Academy of Arts awarded Marina a diploma of the Academy (2020).
At the 4th International mezzotint festival in Yekaterinburg Marina was awarded the sign of the festival Ambassador.
Marina is a participant of many solo (more than 25) and collective exhibitions including international ones.
